The Hassayampa River near Wickenburg AZ is a very unusual river. For most of its length of over a hundred miles it is running under the sand. The water flows on top of bed rock but rarely on top of the sand. There are a few miles where you are able to see the clean clear water but for most of the length of the river the water is not visible. If you stop by the Hassayampa River Preserve just a couple miles outside of Wickenburg you can hike into the protperty that belongs to the Nature Conservancy. There are several trails with overlooks that run on either side of the river and the total is only about 4 miles long. The walking is easy on most of the trails and you shouldn’t hesitate to take your family with you for a picnic. At one time the area was developed as a spa and there are lots of palm trees and a picnic area near a 4 acre lake. The lake is actually a marsh and you won’t find any swimming holes here because most of the fresh water will be under the sand. The hours are restricted in the summer when it is real hot so be sure to check with the Nature Conservancy if you plan to visit in Jun, July or August.

Are you and your business on Twitter? Why would you be? Is there any reason you should be there? Do you even know what Twitter is?

Twitter is just another social network where people go to exchange information BUT, there is a difference. Your messages are kept short (they cannot be over 140 characters in lenght) and Twitter is a place you can go to share information with anyone who cares to listen in. There are over 50 million users who come to twitter every day and they don’t need permission to view anyone else’s tweets. Almost half of the people who come to twittter don’t tweet themselves they just watch other people’s tweets.

There is a lot of very good information posted on Twitter on a daily basis and there are about 200 million registered users who can come looking for that information at any time. Not only can you pick up good information from other people’s tweets, these tweets can help you to develope excellent targeted leads.

When you enter your keywords in your search efforts you’ll be able to focus on those discussions that are concerned specifically with your subject of interrest. You can then develope a rapport with the owners of the discussions you have become a part of.

You can have a business account on twitter but you will need to develope a personna for that account. Its alot easier to become friendly with a personnality than with a name or an advertisement.

There are several good reasons to have a twitter account. You can keep people informed about your business, you can actively search for tweets that you are really interested in and you will be able to follow and be followed by persons interested in your type of business.

If you would like to learn more about social media and how to use them to grow your business stop by this site every week for inforfmation about Youtube, Google and facebook.

This Saturday you will be able to take a guided hike in the Hassayampa River preserve near Wickenburg which will be lead by a docent who works for the Preserve. You’ll have an opportunity to observe birds, javelinas and maybe even catch sight of a few foxes in the area. The trail will run along side the river which sometimes runs on top of the sand and sometimes runs under the sand. Actually a very large portion of the river is hidden from view except right after a rain in the surrounding mountains. This is a scenic, easy hike which is only about a mile long. Its mostly on level ground and doesn’t have any elevation changes so it is suitable for all ages.

This month the hike is planned for 8:30am to 10:00am at the Hassayampa River Preserve which is located on highway 60 only a couple of miles South of Wickenburg. Watch for the sign on the West side of the road. For more information you can go to the website:
http://www.nature.org/ourinitiatives/regions/northamerica/unitedstates/arizona/placesweprotec t/hassayampa-river-preserve.xml or call 928-684-2772

When you head on over to the Surprise Stadium this year you’ll be surprised to find that the entrance to the Training Fields has been moved. Last year you had to enter on the West side of the Training Fields and there was a large paved parking area. This year you’ll find the entrrance is about one block South of the First Base entrance on the East sie of the facility. There is plenty of parking but it is in a nonpaved area which is directly South of the Suprise Swinning Pool. Just look for the big water slide.

Another of the great Family Destinations in Arizona can be found right outside of Tucson. It only takes a ten minute ride from in town to get out to the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum but you’ll need three or four hours to explore the 21 acres and more than two miles of trails in what is actually a zoo, botanical garden and museum. Some parts are located outside in natural settings and there are many displays enclosed inside some of the buildings. You’ll find everything from Prairie Dogs and Black Bears to Gila Monsters and Turkeys. There are over twelve hundred varieties of plants here and some three hundred different kinds of animals. A few of the displays for the nocturnal animals are found underground in cave like settings and larger animals can be found in the displays that are similar to what you can find in a zoo. Nearly 85% of the facility is in the outdoors so you need to be prepared to spend a lot of time in the sun.

The Sonora Desert Museum is a private non profit organization that was founded in 1952 and is funded entirely by admissions, memberships, grants and donations. They are dedicated to teaching the community about conservation and the Southwestern environment. Entrance fees for adults usually range from $12.00 to $14.50 unless you come in after four on Saturday evenings in the summer when the fees are half price and kids under five are always free. There are plenty of hotels and motels in Tucson and this is a great place to take your family for a memorable family Getaway.

Often times you will find that you neglect your fitness as you get older. Frequently a job or family issues will distract you from exercising. These fitness tips will help you get on track and get back into shape. Working out often takes a back seat to career and family responsibilities but if you are ready to make a change and are sick and tired of being out of shape, then follow the health and fitness tips listed below. These tips can help you to regain some of the youthfulness of your former years.

Follow this link for your FREE copy of my 3 Step Weight Loss Blueprint

A good way to get some additional exercise in is to carry extra weights with you when going about your daily activities. This will increase calorie expenditure and perhaps even build a little extra muscle. You might try carrying a shopping basket instead of pushing a cart at the grocery store. If you carry extra weight, it can help you lose weight. This will improve your muscle tone and increase your metabolism. Next time you are in the grocery store, be sure to carry a basket instead of pushing a shopping cart.

As simple as it may seem, just taking the time for a long walk every day will help tremendously. It will help to improve your circulation and stretch those muscles that are beginning to get a little stiff and sore. Sitting at the computer or in front of the TV will need to be offset with time to stretch and work those muscles that get ignored most of the day. You might find that fitness over forty is as easy as setting aside time every morning to get out and take a walk before your day gets started.

As you can see, getting back into the fitness groove is not as hard as you thought. All you need is time, a good work ethic and patience in order to succeed. Working hard will benefit you in anything you are involved in. Many people think they cannot be successful in exercising, but they are already meeting amazing goals in work, parenting, and marriage. Just get up, get out and start moving! You can surely see from this advice that reclaiming your previous level of fitness is definitely achievable. Take the time and do the work to get in shape. Stay dedicated and be patient. You will find that these traits serve you well in everything you do in life, not only physical fitness. If you are an employee of the year and parent of the year, you can also be athlete of the year. Get up, get out and get going.

Every year our life span seems to be getting longer and longer but what good is it if you don’t stay healthy and fit? There is no way to enjoy those extra years if you aren’t strong and fit so what’s a person to do? Here is a list of five things that will help you to stay healthy and more comfortable as you add on those extra years.

1. Staying active is one of the most important things you can do to keep yourself strong and healthy. None of that retiring to a big soft chair in front of the TV for you if you plan to stay in good condition. Just going for a walk in the morning before breakfast can be a big help but you should be thinking about activity throughout the day to help to keep your body in shape and your mind active. Take part in various types of recreational activities such as tennis and golf. Fishing, hiking, and camping can all be great ways to add more activity and variety in your life.

2. Volunteering with different organizations can be very rewarding and will give you a good reason for staying active. Not only will this keep you moving about the community and meeting people it will help with your feeling of self esteem which is really important as you make a transition from working all day to having a lot of time on your hands as a person who is retired.

3. Get enough rest each night. Just because you are not working all day doesn’t mean that you don’t need to get a good night’s sleep every night. A good night’s rest is very important n keeping your mind sharp and will help you make good decisions throughout the day. If you have trouble getting to sleep at night, try relaxing with a good book before bed time but always remember that a TV in the bedroom is probably one of the worst remedies you can try for insomnia.

4. Remember to laugh a little every day. Somewhere in a magazine I once read that laughter is the best medicine. Its stimulating and makes you feel good all over. Laughter will get your heart rate up, cause you to take in more oxygen and feel better about yourself and your friends.

5. Scheduling regular checkups with your family physician is another important point to remember. As a person ages it is necessary to watch over your general health a little more closely. See your dentist at least twice a year and stop by the doctor’s office for a complete physical once a year. If you have problems or conditions arising that you don’t understand be sure to take them up with your physician immediately.

Growing older doesn’t have to mean problems for you and the way you approach aging can be the key to a successful and healthy life as you add on those extra years. You have to take care of yourself and if you do you’ll be much healthier and happier in the years to come.

1. Are you a guy or do you know one close to you over the age of 35?

2. Have you or he looked at your/his bare chest lately?

3. If so… did you see them?…The dreaded….

“Manboobs”?

Obviously if you are female this is not an issue. But for us men, “gynaecomastia”, often jokingly referred to as manboobs (we can thank “Seinfeld” for that) is anything but funny.

From this point on, I’ll refer to it as “MB” if that’s okay by you.

MB is not an age thing. It can occur at almost any time in life. However, for those of us over 35, it is more common.

This is just one of the many symptoms of “andropause”, or “male menopause.”

When you age your testosterone levels decline…and more than that the testosterone gets “weaker” due to an imbalance between it and estrogen.

When you combine that with our modernized “estrogen-rich” environment that Dr. Holly Lucille frequently lectures on, you have a problem.

A big MB problem.

MB is associated with lack of drive (you know what I’m talking about guys) and excess bellyfat due to the estrogen.

Even more serious: Excess estrogen has been positively linked to prostate cancer.

Yep. MBs are not so funny after all.

Check out Dr. Lucille’s NaturaPause Audios. There is an entire audio dedicated to male menopause and natural solutions that really work.

Most do not work worth a darn.

Hers does.
